Say yes to the dress....

Last week, my girls got to participate in a fashion show at our church. Not just any fashion show, it was one where they were modeling dresses that they had been making all summer long. This summer they taught our girls how to sew...and along with that they taught them some pretty cool life lessons from the Bible. It all related to sewing and it was just really neat(having a pattern, getting rid of the unwanted material, what kind of accessories to have, showing their personality). A lot of the lessons taught these young girls to know who they are in Christ...and that is by far the most important thing. The kids loved it and could not wait for the fashion show to get here.

They had the youth girls fix their hair....

They got escorted by sweet little boys...who ate cookies in the "holding room"...

Jesse ran around the gym telling everybody hi...and consuming several cookies and Doritos's

They hung with their friends...and yes Addie had on far too much makeup for a 7 year old(or 47 year old for that matter)...that's when I promptly told her..."who did that to you...your father is going to kill them"...and then I wiped off the 2 pounds of glitter she had above her eyes! She said that one of the teenagers did it...I'm going to have to talk to their youth pastor...oh wait, he's my husband!!!

They waited nervously for their big moment on the catwalk....

Shelby Jean strutting her stuff....

Addie Mae...she walked so fast I hardly got a picture...

Chuckie B looking all regal....

Walking....

Friends 'till the end....

I love this one...Shelby is classic...and I just love my kid's!

What a great night it was...I'm glad we said yes to the dress!

What a great idea! I love it! The kid's look adorable as usual! Teaching the girls to sew is such a great idea.
